In a pivotal initiative to guide our Year 10 and 11 learners towards their future academic and career paths, we were thrilled to host representatives from colleges and educational institutions across London. This event was a cornerstone in ensuring our learners have access to comprehensive information on post-16 options, empowering them to make informed decisions about their next steps.
For this event, we welcomed the following institutuions:
Apprenticeship Skills and Knowledge (ASK): An institution providing in-depth information and support on apprenticeship opportunities, helping learners navigate the vast array of vocational paths available.
Newham College London: Renowned for its diverse range of courses and strong industry links, Newham College stands out as a beacon of vocational and academic excellence in East London.
Access Creative College: Specialising in creative and digital media education, Access Creative College offers unique courses designed to fuel the next generation of creative professionals.
London Screen Academy: With a focus on film and television production, London Screen Academy prepares students for the dynamic world of screen industries through hands-on learning experiences.
New City College: One of the largest further education institutions in London, New City College offers a wide spectrum of courses, from A-levels to vocational training, catering to a broad range of interests and career aspirations.
Building Crafts College: Offers specialised training in construction and the building crafts, equipping students with the practical skills and knowledge essential for careers in carpentry, stonemasonry, and various construction trades.
This event was not just an opportunity for learners to gather information but also a platform for meaningful conversations with institutions that offer different career pathways. Through this interactive networking opportunity, learners gained insights into the various pathways available after completing their GCSEs, including apprenticeships, vocational training, and creative arts education.
