Mock Interviews: Learners Meet Industry Experts

In an inspiring display of employer engagement, our hall was transformed into a dynamic arena where Year 12 and 13 learners stepped into the professional world through mock interviews conducted by our industry partners. This initiative not only honed their interview skills but significantly bolstered their confidence, setting a strong foundation for their future career endeavours.

This event aligns with the Gatsby Benchmark for providing encounters with employers and employees, underscoring our commitment to preparing our learners for the challenges and opportunities of the industry. It's an embodiment of our dedication to equip each learner with the skills and experiences necessary to navigate the professional landscape successfully.

Our visitors comprised of volunteers from leading organisations including AGGORA Group, BOUYGUES UK, Girls Under Construction, Higgins Construction PLC, Hills Construction, J Browne Construction Co. Ltd, Jerram Falkus Construction Limited, Kilnbridge, Lovell Partnerships Ltd, Mace, Mackie Myers, Neilcott Construction Limited, Powerday, Ramboll, Skanska, and Tideway London. They were thoroughly impressed by the calibre of responses and the professionalism exhibited by our learners. Their constructive feedback and encouragement are invaluable assets that our young people will carry forward into their careers.

"We're incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who contributed their time and expertise to make this event a resounding success. Their feedback has been instrumental in elevating our learners' readiness for the world of work," shared Janice, our Careers and Progressions Lead.

Reflecting on the experience, Year 13 learner Skye commented, "The mock interview was a real eye-opener. It gave me a taste of what to expect in the real world and boosted my confidence massively!"

Thanks to all the participating companies for their pivotal role in shaping the futures of our learners. This event is a testament to the power of community and collaboration in forging pathways to success for the next generation of professionals.
