Course Description

The GCSE Fine Art course is designed to cultivate students' artistic talents and creativity through an in-depth exploration of various art forms and techniques. This course provides a comprehensive foundation in fine art, emphasizing the development of practical skills, creative expression, and critical analysis. Students will engage in a range of activities, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media, to build a diverse portfolio of work.

Assessment is divided into two main components: a portfolio of coursework and an externally set assignment. The portfolio showcases students' ongoing development and experimentation, while the external assignment allows them to demonstrate their skills and creativity under timed conditions.
