Course Description

AQA Biology is a linear qualification where, over the course of 7 modules across 2 years, learners will develop scientific knowledge and a conceptual understanding of Biology. At the end of the course learners will be required to take 2 papers, each 1 hour 45 minutes.

Paper 1- Covers content from modules 1, 2, 3 and 4

Paper 2- Covers content from modules 5, 6 and 7

The practical component of Biology is imbedded throughout the entirety of the course, hence its appearance in both papers. It gives learners the opportunity to develop and apply observational, practical and problem solving skills in the laboratory.

AQA Chemistry is a linear qualification where, over the course of 10 modules across 2 years, learners will develop scientific knowledge and a conceptual understanding of chemistry. At the end of the course learners will be required to take 2 papers, each 1 hour 45 minutes.

Paper 1- Covers content from topics 1-5

Paper 2- Covers content from topics 6-10

The practical component of Chemistry is imbedded throughout the entirety of the course, and appears in both papers. It gives learners the opportunity to develop and apply observational, practical, enquiry and problem solving skills in the laboratory.

AQA Physics is a linear qualification where, over the course of 8 modules across 2 years, learners will develop scientific knowledge and a conceptual understanding of Physics. At the end of the course learners will be required to take 2 papers, each 1 hour 45 minutes.

Paper 1- Covers content from modules 1, 2, 3 and 4
