Course Description

Systems control in engineering uses sensors to measure the output performance of a device being controlled and feedback to operate actuators that constantly adjust for a desired performance.

This qualifcation is aimed at learners who wish to study the range of computer and microprocessor applications in engineering, and learn how systems are used across a range of engineering environments such as product design, automated manufacturing, maintenance and stock control.

You will be assessed through a combination of written exam for unit 1(R109) and internally assessed assignments for the three remaining units.

Course Profile

Career Pathways

L2 Engineering leads to Level 3 Engineering and can also lead to apprenticeships and direct employment.

It may also lead you to A Level Engineering or Product Design

Job Opportunities

You could work in a wide and exciting range of industrys, you could work in the water industry, you could work in stock management and distribution (Amazon)

This could lead to: process control engineering, sequencing production lines, automated manufacturing, advanced robotics.
